Harmand-Geoffroy (375ml), 2008, Bourgogne Rouge

Red, Old World, Pinot Noir from Burgundy, France

Past wine – out of stock

Gérard Harmand and his son Philippe run this 9 hectare family farm. The cultivation method is very traditional and also eco-friendly:they do not use chemical fertilizers or insecticides, preferring instead to let the plant play its role in self-defense.

2008 was a good vintage in Burgundy and this is reflected in the quality of this Bourgogne Rouge from the Gevrey Chambertin area. Being the equivalent of 6 to 8 years old this is now drinking beautifully.

Last tasted by us in Novemeber 2012. This is now beginning to show signs of bottle age. It is a see-through dark brick red with darks fruits on the nose and palate. Very pleasant.
